Eva trainee model write up
First shoot
Friday 3rd July 7:30 pm – 8:45pm
I really enjoyed my first shoot as I found it interesting as a new experience. I found it fun to try and copy some of the poses as I felt I had an advantage with my dance practice although I found I didn’t know what to do with my facial expressions so am looking forward to learning this. I had natural make-up on, a bit of powder and slight eye liner but felt I looked to shiny towards the end. The outfits I wore were bikini and shorts, bikini and dress and just bikini.
Second shoot Thursday 16th July
I started without my make-up on and had a couple of photos taken, I then applied full make-up and had a couple of head shots taken again to show a before and after. When looking at these after the shoot there was huge difference and the fact that I applied two layers of foundation made a big improvement due to the flash not been able to penetrate the make-up. We went down to the beach and did some shoots including a few head shots and then poses. This was in top and denim shorts and then shorts and bra. I was concentrating more on my facial expressions this time whereas the first shoot was mainly trying to get the poses. I have become a bit more comfortable with how to hold my expression and after looking at them I realise what works for me best. I found a slight smile lit my face up. One of the poses I tried was difficult but a good challenge. It included a spine twist to the left and turning my head quite far to the right, I had to hold this for a few shots which was quite hard. I then did some poses in the water in a bikini. It was a windy day so we had the advantage of the waves. I was near the shore doing some standing and sitting poses in the water, this was mainly a case of waiting for the right moment for the picture to be taken and after now looking at the pictures I can see the benefit of that.
Wednesday 12th August
Dave came to take some photos while I was dancing at Pink Fish. I was very conscious about the fact that I was sweaty and I notice that this shows through on the photos, the fact that I don’t look confident, I’m not smiling and I am very sweaty. There are not any photos that I like because I felt like I was posing I was just concentrating on dancing but I think there would be potential to get some good shots there and would like to try before I start work one night so I’m not sweating and I can concentrate on my facia expressions more.
Thursday 14th August
Third shoot down by the beach. I really wanted to go for it and get as many good ones as possible. I found I became more confident with my facial expressions and have got some good smiling photos. I did some page 3 poses which were fun to do, some harder than others especially the ones with the rocks as they were quite spiky but they’ve come out nice. We got there as the sun was setting and it went down really fast so we had to work quickly and then carried on doing some pictures as it got dark. The last few were laying on the shoreline, it was really cold but didn’t affect me as I enjoyed it and wanted to carry on doing some more. It’s surprising how fast the time goes.Thursday 14th August

Sunday 16th August
A day out on the booze cruise meant a good opportunity to get some beautiful location photos.
When the boat stopped and started to empty at a beach we went to the front of the boat and got some on there. Because this was shoot was fit into the day where we could and we didn't really want an audience I found myself having to be more creative and come up with spontaneous poses that I could remember. I enjoyed it on the boat, as it was something different however it did become a bit annoying when people kept walking past and interrupting the background so we had to keep pausing. After taking some photos here we decided to move away from the people altogether and walked into a kind of field with random trees and bushes. There was a big stone wall as well which we decided could be used well as a prop. I recreated some of the page 3 poses I could remember.
After looking at the photos there are quite a few that I am really happy with however I did notice that I had forgotten to take off my Malia bracelets which has annoyed me as it is very noticeable on some of the photos.
